Clement
H. Gimbert, Principal: Clem has been involved in the commercial
lending and mortgage banking field for over 45 years. His career
in the commercial lending field began in 1954 with The Prudential
Life Insurance Company. In 1963 he joined Jefferson Pilot Life,
in 1965 he became Vice President of the Mortgage Loan and Real Estate
Department of Peoples Life Insurance Company, Washington, D.C.,
and Vice President of Capital Holding Corporation in 1971. In 1981,
Clem joined the mortgage banking firm of Rust-Jackson Cross Company
as President and Chief Executive Officer. Immediately prior to forming
Gimbert Associates in 1985, Clem was an Executive Vice-President
at Frank S. Phillips Mortgage Corporation.
Clem served as a Director of Continental Federal Savings
Bank of Fairfax for 17 years prior to its acquisition by Crestar
Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia, and
a Fellowship in the Life Office Management Association Institute.
He resides in Annapolis, Maryland and is active in numerous civic
organizations.
Michael
B. Gimbert, Principal: Mike has been in active in Washington-area
commercial finance and investment field since 1986. Mike started
in the business as a Loan Officer with Chevy Chase Savings Bank,
and moved to the mortgage banking side with the Chevy Chase, Maryland-based
B.F. Saul Mortgage Company. He joined Gimbert Associates in 1987
as a Partner working in their Washington, D.C. office.
Mike graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute
in Blacksburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
He is married with three children, and resides in McLean, Virginia.
Ramsay
Douglas Potts, Principal: Doug is a native Washingtonian. After
working in Madison, Wisconsin for many years as the deputy director
of one of the state agencies, Doug returned to Washington in 1983
to a career in the commercial real estate industry. He trained in
leasing, sales and property management at Smithy Braedon (predecessor
to the H.G. Smithy Company) before joining the commercial real estate
finance group. He is a licensed real estate broker.
Doug has a bachelor’s degree from the University
of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
He is married with four children, and resides in McLean, Virginia.
Stephen
C. Rozga, Principal: Steve began his career in real estate finance
in 1983 with Principal Mutual Life. Working from Principal’s
headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, Steve was a Senior Regional Administrator
in charge of mortgage opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to
joining Gimbert Associates LLC, Steve was a Managing Director in
the Mortgage Banking and Commercial Finance Group of the H.G. Smithy
Company in Fairfax, Virginia. He started in the mortgage banking
and commercial finance field in 1987, joining the Carey Winston
Company of Chevy Chase, Maryland. There he was a Senior Vice President
in the Commercial Finance Department.
Steve has BBA degrees in Finance and Real Estate &
Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin. A past instructor
at the Urban Land Institute’s Real Estate School on financial
analysis and capital markets, Steve is also active with the Mortgage
Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington, serving on its Executive
Committee and a former Chair of its Income Property Committee. He
resides in Washington, D.C.
John
L. "Pat" Sullivan, Jr., Principal: Pat has lived in
the Washington area, working in commercial real estate, since 1979.
From 1981 until 2001 he worked in commercial real estate finance
with the H.G. Smithy Company/Smithy Braedon. During this period,
he financed more than $500 million worth of commercial properties
and sold assets totaling more than $50 million. Completed deal structures
have included construction loans, participating loans, joint ventures,
wrap loans and first and second mortgages for all types of property.
Pat is a licensed real estate broker in the District of Columbia,
Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia.
Pat has an undergraduate degree from Washington and
Lee University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School at the
University of Pennsylvania. He served as an officer in the U. S.
Army. He is married with two children, and resides in Alexandria,
Virginia.
Kyle
L. Jones, Director: Kyle is responsible for Commercial Loan
Administration, including servicing and loan closings, at Gimbert
Associates. She has been involved in commercial real estate and
loan administration for almost thirty years during her tenure with
the H.G. Smithy Company at various locations in the Washington,
D.C. area. She has completed various courses in Mortgage Loan and
Income Property Servicing sponsored by the Mortgage Bankers Association
and attended Pennsylvania State University.
In her capacity administrating the H.G. Smithy loan
portfolio, she has serviced approximately $400 million in loans
with lenders such as Manulife, Life of Virginia/GE Financial Assurance,
Shenandoah Life and The Bakery and Confectionery Union Pension Fund.
Kyle handles lease approvals, insurance and tax escrows, requests
for lender approvals for transfers and pay-offs, building completion
escrows, delinquencies, UCC filings, and many other asset management
tasks associated with the servicing of commercial real estate loans.
